Aimee Schmale 

is a Brooklyn-based fashion designer, costume designer, and textile artist, originally from Reading, Pennsylvania. Their work focuses on clothing as a way of experiencing and expressing power, autonomy, and belonging within society and how our garments can reinforce those feelings. Aimee holds a BFA in Fashion Design from Pratt Institute and has been learning how to sew since they were eight years old. Their interest in sustainability and queer storytelling often parallels their design work through the use of upcycled objects and handcrafted textile manipulations. Aimee is available for construction and design-based commission work.
